Description
Job Summary:
The Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the physical flow, prioritization, and efficiency of shipping and receiving operations. This role focuses on warehouse organization, staging, and daily logistics planning to ensure shipments move accurately, safely, and on schedule. The coordinator plays a key role in aligning warehouse execution with production readiness and shipping demand, supporting throughput, space utilization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving priorities to support on-time delivery and efficient warehouse flow
- Plan and manage staging and loading activities to optimize space, labor, and throughput
- Receive incoming materials; verify quantities and condition; document discrepancies and initiate corrective actions; and track customer stock.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and movement of materials to maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse organization
- Coordinate closely with Production to ensure material readiness for shipment
- Support forecasting of shipping volume, space needs, and labor requirements
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or safety risks within warehouse and logistics processes and recommend improvements
- Maintain accurate receiving and shipment records within the ERP system
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and other material-handling equipment
- Promote and enforce safe material-handling practices and housekeeping standards
- Partner with the Shipping & Customer Service Coordinator to align physical execution with customer commitments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material-handling operations
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to obtain forklift and material-handling equipment certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse work
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to think ahead and manage competing operational demands
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Ability to coordinate work and influence others without formal supervisory authority
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and flow
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions
- This position works in a warehouse and material-handling environment. The role may involve occasional exposure to temperature variations, typical warehouse noise, and standard industrial materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment is provided as required.
- The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Hearing protection and other safety equipment are available as needed.
