Material Handler
This Material Handler role is based in a clean, well-organized warehouse that stores vehicle parts. You will primarily use cherry pickers to pick and package parts for shipment, operate RF scanners, perform inventory counts, and prepare documentation to ensure accurate and timely outbound shipments.
Responsibilities- Pick vehicle parts from high racking using cherry pickers and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Package parts securely and accurately for shipment according to established procedures and standards.
- Use RF scanners to locate, verify, and track inventory within the warehouse system.
- Perform regular inventory counts and verify quantities to maintain accurate stock records.
- Prepare and complete shipment documentation to support accurate order processing and outbound logistics.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, including lifting items up to 35 lbs as part of daily tasks.
- Work at heights up to approximately 30 feet when operating cherry pickers and accessing high racking, as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse operating procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and accuracy goals for the shift.
- Participate in a half-day orientation on first shift on the first day to learn processes, equipment, and safety expectations.
- Support overtime needs when required by working additional hours before or after the scheduled shift when requested.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Ability to use an RF scanner, with basic computer or smartphone skills to navigate and input data.
- Capability to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly as part of material handling duties.
- Comfort working at heights up to approximately 30 feet when operating cherry pickers and accessing high racking, or willingness to be assigned to an alternative area if heights are not suitable.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and follow established safety protocols.
- Demonstrated reliability and work history stability, with a preference for no more than two jobs in the past year or up to three with clear explanations.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and documentation.
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet productivity and quality expectations on a consistent basis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Prior warehouse experience handling inventory, shipping, or receiving activities.
- Background in manufacturing environments with familiarity using material handling equipment.
- Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners and basic computer or mobile devices.
- Willingness to learn new processes and move into advanced material handler roles over time.

The position is located in a very clean, well-lit warehouse that stores vehicle parts on high racking. The role primarily uses cherry pickers and other material handling equipment, so comfort with working at height is beneficial. The environment is structured yet flexible, with occasional mandatory overtime that begins with volunteer sign-ups and can include working one hour before and/or one hour after the regular shift to meet operational needs.
Dress is typical warehouse attire suitable for operating equipment and following all safety requirements.
