Storeroom Attendant positioned within a customer's location in Kohler, WI. Contractor (pay-as-you-go). Onsite. Marketplace Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. 3-month temp-to-hire (expected Aug 3, 2026 - Nov 2, 2026).
Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST; OT rare.
The Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor fulfilling daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory, while maintaining a professional, clean, and organized work environment. Primary function is to service and stock vending machines (training provided). Position requires driving between two locations (~15 minutes apart) 3-5 days per week; the other site is 444 Highland Drive, Kohler, WI.
Responsibilities- Unload, receive, and put away incoming product, goods, tools, and/or equipment; unpack containers; check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices
- Accurately sort, label, move, and store items on racks, shelves, or bins by size, style, or product code; arrange storage to optimize crib space
- Issue product/goods/tools/equipment to site employees; document and maintain accurate records for issued and returned items
- Enter data into a database/computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; document discrepancies and seek corrective action
- Request requisitions to replenish inventory; assist with inventory maintenance; perform cycle counts and prepare reports
- Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects/wear and report damage
- Prepare periodic or perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment; deliver tools/equipment to work locations
- Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies; may repair, service, and lubricate tools/equipment
- 3+ months relevant experience and/or training; high school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
- Loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic computer proficiency; MS Office, and ideally Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21
- Basic math skills; strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team and be self-motivated; attention to detail and safety minded
Physical:
Computer experience required (especially Microsoft Excel); ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally; walking throughout the facility, on feet ~6 hours/day in a fast-paced environment. PPE: steel or composite toe shoes required (not supplied); eyewear and ear protection supplied.
Reporting location: 200 Twin Oaks Road, Kohler, WI 53044 (plus 444 Highland Drive, Kohler).
