Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team and support the Company Controller in managing core accounting operations and strengthening financial processes. The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), supports month‑end close activities, and ensures accurate, compliant financial reporting. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- General Ledger Oversight — Support month‑end close, prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Department Leadership — Supervise, mentor, and evaluate AR/AP team members; ensure consistent daily workflow.
- Audit & Compliance Support — Prepare schedules for audits, financial reviews, and tax filings (excise, property).
- Process Improvement — Assist the Controller in evaluating new accounting standards and enhancing internal processes.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis — Support balance sheet and P&L variance analysis; research discrepancies and provide insights.
- Special Projects — Complete ad‑hoc analyses, reports, and projects to support evolving business needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with large ERP systems;
Syteline preferred. - Power BI / Power Query experience a plus.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to train and support colleagues.
- CPA or similar certification is a plus.
- Professional office environment within an aerospace manufacturing facility.
- Regular interaction with supply chain, production, engineering, and finance teams.
- Occasional extended hours during month‑end close, audits, or critical deadlines.
