Role Description The Receptionist role at SVS Vision is a full-time, on-site position based in Wixom, MI. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and managing the front desk in a professional and welcoming manner. Daily tasks include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying basic patient information, and providing accurate information about services, products, and store policies.
The role also involves handling clerical duties such as maintaining records, processing forms, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and supporting the optical team with front-office coordination. The Receptionist works closely with staff and eye care professionals to ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Candidates should possess phone etiquette and receptionist duties skills to manage calls, greet guests, and coordinate front desk activities.
- Candidates should possess clerical skills, including basic data entry, record keeping, and handling office documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., scheduling systems, email, office software) and the ability to learn new tools and processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a medical, optical, or retail office setting is beneficial.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
