Our client is seeking a highly capable and operationally focused Procurement Manager to oversee end‑to‑end procurement execution within a fast‑paced, highly customized production environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, data‑driven, and cross‑functional operations setting, ensuring continuity of supply, disciplined supplier management, and strong cost performance.
The position partners closely with Production, Scheduling, Engineering, Innovation, and Finance to deliver reliable, cost‑effective procurement outcomes that support both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term organizational goals. The role also includes direct people management and full supplier lifecycle ownership.
Responsibilities Direct Spend & Supply Continuity- Manage sourcing and purchasing for production‑critical direct spend categories
- Ensure material availability aligned with production schedules and capacity plans
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including lead times, supplier dependency, MOQs, and quality concerns
- Serve as the primary escalation point for procurement‑related production issues
- Oversee full lifecycle management for assigned suppliers
- Lead negotiations for pricing, payment terms, lead times, service levels, and rebate structures
- Conduct structured supplier performance reviews
- Manage domestic suppliers and coordinate offshore sourcing activities
- Maintain close alignment with Scheduling and Production teams
- Adjust procurement actions based on forecast changes and capacity fluctuations
- Maintain visibility of inventory levels and critical materials
- Balance service needs with working capital targets and risk considerations
- Ensure procurement process discipline across internal systems
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and lead‑time data
- Leverage analytics and AI tools to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support Production with supply continuity
- Partner with Engineering for specifications and component needs
- Support Innovation teams with new product development, trials, and supplier scouting
- Own procurement savings, cost‑reduction initiatives, and rebate management
- Deliver consistent reporting aligned with Finance requirements
- Directly manage one Buyer
- Set priorities, performance expectations, and workflow standards
- Attend supplier events, industry conferences, and relevant trade shows
- Continuity of production without material disruptions
- Improved supplier performance across key metrics
- Delivery of savings, rebate realization, and accurate reporting
- Continuous improvement in data quality and procurement visibility
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
