Job Summary
This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends, negotiation tactics, and supply chain dynamics and a proven track record of achieving cost reductions. We’re looking for an experienced and driven individual who works cross‑functionally, moves fast, and isn’t afraid to suggest process improvements or new ideas along the way.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with company goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize working capital while maintaining service levels.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop strong relationships to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and lead time reductions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, R&D, finance) to understand procurement needs and align sourcing strategies.
- Analyze market trends and risks to anticipate supply chain disruptions and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for audit and analysis purposes.
- Drive cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements across the procurement function.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow. Support new product introductions and process validations.
- Experience:
2+ years of experience in strategic purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Experience with electrical products – wires, components, control panels, PCBs, etc. – is preferred. - Track record of achieving measurable cost reductions.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong initiative and a proactive mindset. Strong project management and organizational skills.
