MCP Construction LLC is looking for a experienced skilled Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Wixom, MI! In this critical role, you'll be at the heart of our project pipeline — turning blueprints into winning bids and helping drive the success of every build we take on. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for construction, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and/or Industrial construction projects
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop detailed bid packages
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure best value
- Conduct material takeoffs and quantity surveys for all trades
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to align estimates with project execution plans
- Track and maintain bid calendars, deadlines, and proposal submissions
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into estimates
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, bidding, or project management
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with subs, vendors, and internal teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
