Entry Level Controls Engineer Wixom

Position Summary

Entry Level Controls Engineer at Fives DyAG Corp. based in Wixom, MI. The role is anticipated to start in June;
April and May 2026 graduates are welcome to apply.

• Receive training on multiple PLC platforms, hardware design, programming, and other related tasks.
• Design, commission, and maintain industrial controls systems, PLC software, and HMI screens for various industries and environments.
• Develop, install, debug, and commission PLC/HMI code on job sites.
• Program peripheral devices, machine PLCs, coordinate machine debugging, power‑up, and validation with build and electrical teams.
• Ensure systems are designed and programmed to meet customer or DyAG build specifications using standard techniques and approaches.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, production support, and startup of systems.

• Experience or training in programming languages. Ladder logic/PLC is ideal; object‑oriented programming experience is acceptable.
• Experience with CAD or design tools (AutoCAD, Solid Works, EPLAN, etc.).
• Prior internship or co‑op experience is ideal.
• Proficient with field‑bus networks including Device Net, Ethernet IP, Profibus, Profi Net, etc.; a plus to know others.
• Willingness to learn and train on new systems and enjoy programming as an essential part of the role.
• Strong attitude, teamwork, independent work capability, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Ability to travel.

AS or BS in Engineering. Preferably Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
