Director of Civil Engineering Services
Wixom, MI
Responsibilities- Design and approve residential, commercial and high tech projects including detailed engineering and construction document preparation and as-built documents.
- Assist senior engineering staff in design and drawing preparation of residential, commercial and high tech projects, including detailed engineering and construction document preparation and as-built documents.
- Perform field-related land surveying activities: boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, as-built surveys and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
- Maintain satisfactory field records, site safety, project timelines and communication with office staff.
- Use AutoCAD Land Development Desktop and/or Civil 3D for detailed engineering and as-built document preparation for commercial and residential developments.
- 10-15 years of experience in land development – residential and commercial.
- BS in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineer license.
- 3+ years of civil engineering experience, BS in Civil Engineering – EIT preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in field surveying with robotic and GPS instrumentation.
- 1+ year of experience in development – residential or commercial.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities with a strong deadline orientation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team.
