Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
Metro Detroit Area (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis. This role will work closely with both finance and operations to drive data‑driven decision‑making and improve overall business performance.

This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting support, and cost analysis, with a strong focus on translating operational data into actionable insights. The FP&A Analyst will also support cost accounting and inventory‑related activities tied to month‑end close and forecasting.

• Prepare monthly reporting packages including actuals, budget, and prior‑year comparisons
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Support ad hoc financial and operational analysis

• Assist with annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting
• Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools
• Support month‑end close activities including reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with inventory analysis, costing, and physical inventory processes
• Partner with operations to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies

• Develop and maintain reports using Power BI and advanced Excel
• Work with ERP systems to extract, analyze, and validate large datasets
• Support process improvements and reporting automation initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of FP&A, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong Power BI and advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
• CPA or CMA is a plus
