, in partnership with a technology solutions organization, is seeking a skilled Integration Technician Lead
. This role is responsible for leading the integration of enterprise server and workstation hardware, mentoring a team of technicians, and ensuring every system is built, configured, tested, and documented to exact customer specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards.
FULL ONSITE, MUST LIVE IN METRO DETROIT, MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD AS THIS IS DIRECT HIRE.
Job Duties- Lead and mentor the integration team on hardware build, configuration, and quality assurance best practices
- Coordinate project schedules, monitor workload priorities, and support resource planning across multiple integration projects
- Build and configure enterprise servers and workstations according to customer bills of materials
- Install, verify, and validate CPUs, memory, storage devices, RAID controllers, network adapters, and PCIe expansion cards
- Configure BIOS/UEFI settings, firmware, boot options, RAID arrays, and remote management interfaces to required specifications
- Perform firmware updates using vendor management tools and validate system readiness prior to shipment
- Execute POST validation, burn-in testing, and hardware quality inspections to ensure system reliability
- Create technical documentation, build guides, and process documentation while maintaining accurate build records and quality checklists
- Troubleshoot hardware configuration issues and provide technical guidance to resolve integration challenges
- Maintain organized work areas while following ESD and quality control procedures
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building, configuring, or servicing enterprise server hardware
- Experience reading and executing technical bills of materials or detailed work orders
- Proficiency configuring BIOS/UEFI settings and managing firmware updates
- Experience with remote management platforms such as Dell iDRAC or HPE iLO
- Knowledge of RAID configuration, storage provisioning, and disk management
- Familiarity with PXE booting, disk imaging, and command-line firmware update utilities
- Ability to manage multiple hardware integration projects with strong documentation accuracy
- Ability to lift server chassis up to 50 pounds and work at a technician bench for extended periods
- CompTIA A+, Server+, or comparable server hardware certifications
- Vendor certifications from Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, Supermicro, or similar manufacturers
- Experience provisioning NVMe storage and configuring PCIe HBAs and NICs
- Experience with operating system imaging and deployment workflows
- Previous experience in a hardware integration, depot repair, systems integration, or technology fulfillment environment
