Warehouse Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Overview

The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday from 4:00pm to 12:30am. Overtime as needed. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

• Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment
• Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control
• Lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires, perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment
• Exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires
• Work at heights up to 25 feet safely while operating equipment
• Be on the move and capable of standing for extended periods; work overtime as needed
• Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to safety policies and operating procedures
• May assist other departments, such as ecomm, inventory, and will call, depending on business needs

Physical demands: The employee must be able to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequently lift products weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds. Handling of commercial tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) may require team lifts or mechanical equipment.

Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. Auto Force except for boots. All team members must adhere to safety and manufacture guidelines for compliant use of all protective equipment.

Work environment: Exposure to weather conditions typical of the work location. Noise level is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants may be present.

• Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment
• 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work at heights of up to 25 feet while operating equipment
• Abide by all company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations and manufacturing guidelines
• Ability to pass forklift certification
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
