Polisher; 1st Shift

We are looking for a Polisher for our Wixom, MI facility. The Metal Finisher, under the direction of the Production Manager, will provide first‑class metal finishing to die sections and die‑casting tools prior to PVD treatment according to Oerlikon Blazers standards. This position will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality control of production services for forming tools through rigorous quality checks before and after treatment.

This is a first shift position with core hours of 9:00 am – 6:30 pm.

• Metal finishing and polishing of stamping forming die steels and die‑casting tools.
• Perform metallurgical checks of tooling including spectro analysis, hardness checks, and heat‑treatment determination.
• Complete quality control documentation for customers as required.
• Maintain measurement devices.
• Provide additional support to the Production Manager and customers as needed.

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience with metal finishing/polishing of stamping forming die steels and die‑casting tools preferred.
• Comfortable working with hands and able to lift 44 lbs.
• Strong work ethic, high energy, and detail oriented.

• Positive attitude.
• Good attendance.
