Director of Manufacturing

Manufacturing Director | Michigan (Onsite)

We're seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Director to lead operations for a well-established manufacturing facility with approximately 100 employees. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving production performance, operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across the plant.

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Manage production scheduling, workflow planning, and resource allocation.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks while improving throughput and reducing waste.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production challenges and enhance processes.
• Develop, mentor, and lead managers and supervisors.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, workforce planning, and operational excellence.

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a senior operations leadership role.
• Experience leading facilities with 75-100+ employees and managing operations within a $30M-$50M+ manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement.
• Experience in electronics, custom manufacturing, industrial products, signage, or related industries preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing business processes.

• Occasional overtime or weekend support as needed
