Resident Engineer

Responsible for managing customer quality issues and acting as a key liaison between customers and manufacturing plants to ensure compliance, rapid problem resolution, and continuous improvement.

• Travel to customer facilities to provide on-site support during quality incidents and critical containment activities.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported quality issues and perform technical root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate the return of defective and warranty parts from customers to manufacturing plants for detailed analysis.
• Lead and manage containment and rework activities at customer locations, including hands‑on inspection or supervision of third‑party sorting companies. Ensure timely closure of breakpoints to minimize unnecessary costs.
• Enter and track all customer claims in the Bocar Alert Management System (AMS).
• Review customer portals to validate claim accuracy, PPM performance, and quality ratings.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to customer claims, sorting costs, line downtime, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Review and validate 8D reports prior to submission through customer portals.
• Support the dispute process for quality claims, PPM quantities, and customer chargebacks.
• Travel to manufacturing plants in Mexico and Alabama to support customer visits, follow up on corrective actions, and enhance technical knowledge of Bocar manufacturing processes.
