This is a full-time, on-site ATE Sales Manager role based in Wixom, MI. The ATE Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of automated test equipment solutions by identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through closing and post-sale follow-up. Daily activities include meeting with customers, understanding technical requirements, coordinating product demonstrations, and preparing proposals and quotations in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
The role involves maintaining a strong opportunity pipeline, forecasting sales, and reporting on activities and market trends to leadership. The ATE Sales Manager also builds long-term customer relationships, represents Chroma at industry events, and supports strategic initiatives to grow market share in targeted segments.
- Experience in technical or industrial sales, preferably in automated test equipment, power electronics, or related test and measurement solutions.
- Strong ability to understand customer technical requirements and translate them into appropriate ATE system configurations and proposals.
- Demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, and closing complex sales with engineering and purchasing stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software to manage pipelines, forecasts, and customer communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and product demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of power electronics, test and measurement principles, or automated test systems is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Wixom, MI, travel to customer locations and trade shows as needed, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
