Mechanical HVAC Technician

Location: Wixom, MI |
Schedule: Full-time, on-site |
Compensation: $40-50/hr + OT

A well-established and respected company in the area is seeking an experienced Industrial HVAC Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. This role suits a technician who works independently, diagnoses problems accurately, and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Service rooftop units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and related controls
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issues
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
• Document service work, materials used, and recommended repairs
• Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and other trades
• Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and applicable codes
• Participate in an on-call rotation when required
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles

• EPA Section 608 certification required
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, lifts, and confined spaces
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions

• Four or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience preferred
• Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or large commercial systems preferred
• Boiler, chiller, controls, refrigeration, or hydronics experience is a plus
• OSHA, NATE, HVAC Excellence, or manufacturer certifications are a plus

• Compensation: $40-50/hr + OT, which can equate to roughly $40,000 to $50,000 depending on annual hours worked
