As an Application Engineer, you'll assist in developing automation and validation solutions for the intelligent systems that power electric and autonomous vehicles. dSPACE works with leading automotive manufacturers and their suppliers to deliver test systems. You will have the opportunity to engage with customers, understand their technical requirements, and contribute to the evolution of dSPACE’s software solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting customer projects which focus on automation of HIL and SIL systems and tools, and incorporating test automation solutions into customer projects. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary and intercultural teams, including hardware developers, systems engineers, and application specialists, to deliver robust and scalable software solutions. Responsibilities- Organization and implementation of customer projects/subprojects in the field of tool automation and/or test automation
- Maintenance, development, and support of solutions which expand on dSPACE products
- Conception, creation, and implementation of software tools
- Maintenance, development, and support of internal tools
- Software development using current technologies and development environments
- Bachelor´s in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other fields with software training, or related experience
- Strong programming skills, with experience in one or more (preferred) of the following areas:
- C#, C++, or in another high-level programming language (Java)
- Python
- Strong analytical thinking and a proven ability to navigate and resolve complex interdependencies within software systems
- A high degree of teamwork and systematic way of working
- Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and a high degree of independence
- Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other fields with software training, or related experience
- Strong programming skills, with experience in one or more (preferred) of the following areas:
- WPF C#
- C/C++
- Cloud environments
- Docker
- Web-based software (React, CSS, Rest API, entity framework)
