Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant GL/accounting experience
- Excel proficiency
- CPA or working towards it
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes. You will also help ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
The Work- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist Controller in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, coordinating with team members to meet deadlines.
- Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision making, providing management with actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies, staying current with updates to standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and information to support audit activities.
- Support internal controls and recommend process improvements to strengthen the financial reporting environment.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and offer guidance on best practices, fostering professional development within the team.
