We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables operations for a service-focused organization in Woburn, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can manage billing activity, apply incoming payments accurately, and maintain consistent follow-up on outstanding commercial accounts. The person in this role will help keep cash flow processes organized, resolve account discrepancies, and contribute to a dependable finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and review customer invoices to ensure billing records are accurate, complete, and issued on schedule.
• Record incoming payments and post cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts with close attention to detail.
• Monitor aging reports and conduct timely follow-up with commercial clients to collect overdue balances.
• Investigate payment issues, reconcile account differences, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing questions.
• Maintain organized accounts receivable documentation and update account activity to support accurate financial reporting.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status, remittance details, and outstanding balances.
• Support routine cash collection efforts by prioritizing delinquent accounts and tracking collection progress.
• Assist with receivables-related process updates or workflow changes as needed within the department.
