Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

We are partnering with a growing company in Boston North with an immediate opening for a hands-on Controller to lead all finance and accounting operations. This role will be the financial anchor of the company—managing a small accounting team, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring precise project-level reporting across active jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle Accounting Leadership: Oversee all general ledger operations, month-end/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual operating budget process, build rolling financial forecasts, and perform variance analysis against company overhead and project budgets.
• Project Costing & WIP Management: Ensure accurate WIP schedules, track job costs, analyze project profitability, and partner with PMs on revenue recognition.
• Cash Flow & Capital Management: Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and billing cycles.
• Team Supervision: Mentor and manage a small, dedicated accounting team overseeing all areas of accounting.
• Process Enhancement: Drive continuous improvements in financial workflows, job-cost tracking, and ERP reporting tools.
