KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a rapidly growing company in the Middlesex County, MA area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to take ownership of core accounting responsibilities within a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close
- Calculate and record accruals and maintain supporting documentation
- Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and research reconciling items
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
- Assist with documenting accounting procedures and identifying process gaps
- Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special accounting projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and the month-end close process
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- ERP experience required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
- Eager to learn and take on additional ownership as the Finance team grows
This position is 100% onsite in Middlesex County, MA. Compensation is $85k-$115k depending on experience, plus bonus. The company offers one of the most generous benefits package we have seen.
