Reporting to the Product Design and Costing Lead, the Document Control Specialist will serve as the primary administrator of documents, their entry into the document control system, and cross‑functional collaboration within the organization for review, approval, and editing of documents. The role plays a critical part in ensuring that document revision control and change‑management processes are followed. This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Responsibilities- Support the Product Design and Cost Engineering teams to maintain revision control of customer and Chomerics drawings.
- Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions for Cost Engineering and Design Engineering teams globally.
- Monitor and help ensure that standard operating procedures and work instructions meet regulatory and compliance standards where applicable. Assist in internal audits and help prepare for external audits by ensuring proper documentation and procedures are in place.
- Organize and maintain a digital document control system for easy access to current SOPs and WIs. Ensure proper classification and categorization of documents for efficient retrieval. Reorganize current documentation.
- Regularly review and update SOPs and WIs to reflect any changes in processes, regulations, or best practices. Ensure proper version control and track historical revisions of each document.
- Distribute controlled documentation within Chomerics based on request and policy.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
- 2-4 years of experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of various document control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
- Knowledge of document control systems, Enovia and SharePoint is preferred.
- Comfortable with a fast‑paced environment and managing multiple work streams.
- Ability to work independently and within a team using effective communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet sensitive deadlines.
- Knowledge of commercial and aerospace/defense customers is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
- Must demonstrate organization skills and effective communication in verbal/written English.
- Pay Range: $19.74/hr to $32.89/hr
