Position OverviewThis position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys variety in their day and thrives in a small office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial and administrative functions of a property management business, while serving as a professional and friendly point of contact for tenants and vendors.
Responsibilities- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including maintaining ledgers and recording financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain monthly profit and loss statements for multiple property accounts.
- Manage bookkeeping activities for approximately nine commercial property entities.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain organized financial records.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with tenants regarding inquiries and requests.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of lease documentation.
- Update and maintain tenant records and databases.
- Support day‑to‑day administrative operations as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to prepare reports and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
- Previous bookkeeping experience required.
- Experience with manual bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss statements and financial recordkeeping.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Commercial or industrial real estate experience is a plus.
