About the Role
The Project Manager leads the day-to-day delivery of plumbing and HVAC construction projects, managing coordination, procurement, financial tracking, and field support from startup through closeout. This role ensures that documentation, communication, and workflow execution remain organized and efficient. The PM works closely with field leaders, subcontractors, vendors, and the Project Executive to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Coordination
- Manage full project setup including drawings, specifications, platform configuration, and document control procedures.
- Coordinate daily with field teams to ensure manpower alignment, installation sequencing, and schedule adherence.
- Run weekly project meetings, track progress, and escalate issues proactively to the Project Executive when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of site conditions, field reports, RFIs, and coordinated drawing updates.
- Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, procurement logs, and material release schedules.
- Review vendor quotes and confirm scope alignment for materials, fixtures, and equipment.
- Track long‑lead items and ensure timely delivery to support field installation and prefabrication needs.
- Create and maintain updated project budgets, cost‑to‑complete assessments, and projections.
- Prepare and submit billing requisitions, SOVs, and financial backup documentation.
- Develop and price change orders and T&M work, ensuring timely submission and negotiation readiness.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure installation aligns with contract documents, coordinated drawings, and company quality standards.
- Support safety planning by preparing JHAs, permits, and required compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate as‑builts, inspection reports, testing documentation, and O&M deliverables.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, GCs, field leadership, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely submission, processing, and tracking of all project documentation.
- Support closeout activities, ensuring all punch‑list, turnover, and documentation requirements are met.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience managing mechanical construction projects (plumbing/HVAC) in commercial or institutional settings.
- Strong understanding of scheduling, procurement workflows, financial controls, and coordinated drawings.
- Proficiency with construction management platforms and document control processes.
- Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to support and collaborate with field teams in fast‑paced project environments.
