The Interior Design Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Burlington, MA. This role involves partnering with clients to understand their lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and functional needs, and translating these insights into personalized interior design solutions using Ethan Allen’s product offerings. The consultant will create design presentations, space plans, and furniture layouts, and guide clients through product selection, finishes, and accessories.

Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients in the Design Center and in-home, managing the sales process from initial consultation through post-sale follow-up, and maintaining accurate records of client projects. The role also includes collaborating with showroom and operations teams to ensure timely delivery, exceptional service, and a cohesive brand experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Customer service expertise focused on building long-term relationships and delivering a high-touch, luxury client experience.
• Proficiency in interior design principles, space planning, and color coordination, with the ability to create cohesive design concepts.
• Sales skills, including consultative selling, closing techniques, and the ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
• Knowledge of furniture, materials, and finishes, with the ability to recommend appropriate products for different spaces and budgets.
• Experience with design or sales in a showroom or retail environment; background in luxury or home furnishings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with design software or digital tools for presentations and floor plans is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Woburn, MA, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
• Education in interior design, art, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
