The Home Energy Specialist is responsible for helping homeowners become more energy efficient by performing Mass Save Home Energy Assessments. This role will be modeling homes in energy efficiency software, diagnosing energy usage problems, and recommending energy saving measures such as insulation, and high efficiency heating and cooling
Compensation:
No cold calls, no hunting sales, warm connections (people requesting an assessment) This is a commission-based role with average earnings of $95,000 annually - top earners have potential to earn $250,000+ annually. Holiday and Paid time off are paid at $20 per hour.
- Energy Assessment:
- Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments.
- Utilize energy efficiency software to model homes and generate comprehensive energy savings reports.
- Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
- Sales and Customer Service:
- Initiate sale and secure service contracts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy efficiency benefits.
- Use effective sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals.
- Organize and guide customer through paperwork processes.
- Installation and Documentation:
- Install energy-saving products during assessments, including thermostats, water saving devices, and power strips.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel required.
- Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
- MASS Save program knowledge a plus.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
