Systems Engineer, Hardware Engineer
We are seeking a Hardware Integration and String Test Engineer to support radar system testing in a fast‑paced lab environment. This role is critical to systems and software engineering teams; providing reliable hardware, networking, and lab infrastructure necessary to effectively execute development and testing activities.
This position requires an Active Secret Clearance and is 100% on-site in Woburn, MA.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, configure, and maintain radar string test environments including servers, network switches, and cabling (Cat5, RF), power systems, racking, and stacking of hardware
- Install and configure operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Support hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing to ensure systems accurately represent real radar configurations
- Maintain lab operations including inventory management, equipment shipments, and coordination with IT and engineering teams
- Provide regular status updates to management on lab readiness, equipment availability, and operational issues
- Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
- B.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a fast‑paced lab environment supporting development and testing; varying levels of experience may be considered.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware integration.
- Proficiency in server setup, networking (switches, cabling), and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Experience with hardware configuration, inventory logistics, and customer interaction.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience in government or defense contracting environments.
- Practical networking experience and/or certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
- Familiarity with radar systems, power‑up sequences, and system‑level validation.
- Exposure to radar string testing and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments.

Salary RangeThe annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $140,000 USD. The final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's education, experience, skills, certifications, and other relevant qualifications, as well as applicable client or government contractual rates.
