Electrical Engineering
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who’ll take charge of designing and integrating the high-voltage and high-current electrical systems that power our grid-scale energy storage technology. Duties will include conceptualizing AC/DC power flows and PCB-level designs to ensure strict safety and compliance standards.
If you’re a hands‑on innovator who can handle both big‑picture system architecture and detailed wiring, testing, and debugging, we want you on our team.
This is not a leadership or management‑track position. We’re looking for a strong contributor who thrives as part of a team, communicates well with diverse groups, and is driven to make the company as successful as possible.
Requirements- Minimum of 4 years of experience in real‑world industry.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics (inverters, rectifiers, DC/DC converters).
- Extensive experience in electrical system integration.
- Proven track record of creating electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and cabinet designs to guide production.
- Extensive experience with battery management systems and energy storage principles.
- Hands‑on experience designing and delivering high‑voltage / high‑current systems that meet rigorous safety standards for real customers or deployed products.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and/or embedded systems, including hardware‑software integration.
- Experience using electrical CAD tools, lab equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment.
- Background in renewable energy, grid‑scale storage, microgrids, or related fields.
- Familiarity with communication protocols used in embedded and industrial systems, such as CAN Bus, Modbus, or similar protocols.
- Knowledge of thermal management strategies for power electronics.
- System Design:
Develop AC/DC power system architectures, including power conversion equipment, grid interconnection, battery management systems, and PCB designs supporting these systems. Contribute to electrical system design from concept through production, including component selection and system integration. - Drawings & Documentation:
Create electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, PCB layouts, and cabinet designs to guide production and assembly. - Safety & Compliance:
Implement safety measures for high‑voltage and high‑current systems. Support certification efforts and ensure designs meet strict high‑voltage standards and regulatory requirements. - Hands‑On Development:
Assemble, wire, test, debug, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic components alongside the production team. Bring‑up and validate systems in both lab and field environments. - Collaboration:
Work closely with mechanical and software engineers, including embedded developers, to ensure seamless, fully integrated solutions.
- Three weeks paid time off
- Sick pay
- Parental leave
- Ten paid holidays
- Health insurance
- 401K match
