Systems Engineer, Software Engineer

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated System Engineer to join our System Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate at our Woburn, MA location. The role involves supporting X‑Band Radar technology, collaborating on requirements verification and systems engineering integration. Responsibilities include scenario development, testing, analysis, support to software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations.
WhatYou Will Do
- Support the Systems Verification Lead on requirements verification tasks and scope planning, creating milestones, scheduling and managing competing priorities, and delivering customer presentations.
- Strengthen the team’s data analysis, requirements verification, systems integration, software development, and support for internal and external customers.
- Develop scenarios to support testing, data analysis, and software development.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to resolve radar technical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, and/or Unix.
- Experience with DOORS and System Integration, test, and/or Verification.
- Ability to compile, summarize, and present data analysis to internal and external stakeholders, including program leadership and external customers, and collaborate across engineering functions.
- Experience with risk and opportunity management, coaching teams in agile and Dev Sec Ops processes, implementing agile methodologies, and supporting execution of the team’s backlog.
- Experience participating in daily stand‑up meetings, monthly sprint reviews, quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning meetings, retrospectives, and implementing best practices for predictable/repeatable workflows.
- Support the team in removing impediments, estimating task sizing, verifying backlog readiness, tracking and reporting agile metrics, and facilitating new process and technology integration.
- Involvement with X‑Band Radar analysis tools, root‑cause identification, corrective action implementation, systems integration, systems verification, and working with customers to plan and execute program test activities.

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
