The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Systems Engineer II to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

This position is on site in Woburn, MA.

What You Will do:

You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities:
* Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements.

* Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions.

* Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.

* Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.

* Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements. You will contribute to one or more capability areas, including:
* Electronic Protection, signal processing, and applied mathematics.

* Hypersonic threat defense.

* Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces.

* Radar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support.

* Modeling and simulation of tactical software. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

* Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS.

* Experience with systems analysis, algorithms, requirements development, and/or signal processing techniques. Qualifications We Prefer:
* Experience with Battle Management command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems or signal processing techniques.

* Experience with developing, documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools.

* Ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.

* Analytic, technical and problem-solving skills.

* Experience with MS Office Suite.

* Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture.

* Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance.

* Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance.

* Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development and implementation.

* Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement

* Previous military service.

* Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs.
