Principal Systems Engineer – Surface Radars & Sensors Center (Missile Defense Sensors Department)

Location:

Woburn, MA, USA. This position is onsite. U.S. citizenship and a secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain interim clearance) are required.

You will work as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms, and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Your responsibilities include:

• Analyzing radar system performance data against requirements, identifying deficiencies and proposing solutions.
• Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.
• Presenting plans, designs, and system performance to peers, internal leadership, and external customers.
• Providing subject‑matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
• Contributing to capability areas such as electronic protection, signal processing, applied mathematics, hypersonic threat defense, tracking, discrimination, search, battle‑manager interfaces, radar calibration and diagnostics, deployed site support, and modeling/simulation of tactical software.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, C/C++, Java, or DOORS.
• Experience with systems analysis, algorithms, requirements development, and/or signal‑processing techniques.

Preferred

• Experience with BMC4I systems, radar systems, or advanced signal‑processing techniques.
• Experience documenting and maintaining processes, methods and tools.
• Analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with system‑level requirements development and documentation, and design of system‑level software architecture.
• Knowledge of radar system concepts (detection, discrimination, track, signal‑processing algorithms) and their performance.
• Experience in developing and coding system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools for radar requirements.
• Interest and experience in Information Assurance / Cyber Engineering requirements.
• Experience using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement.
• Previous military service (preferred).
• Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs.

Competitive salary range: $107,500–$204,500 USD, commensurate with experience.
