The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Long Range Radars department is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to work onsite in Woburn, MA.
Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. The team supports engineering, program offices and customers throughout the product life cycle, focusing on product support in the disciplines of Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do- Support both Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineering functions.
- Conduct RAM analyses, including reliability and maintainability predictions.
- Perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
- Generate Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and system models.
- Define and allocate RAM requirements.
- Review field failure data and assess performance using metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), and Operational Availability (Ao).
- Interpret data, analyze results, and ensure compliance with performance requirements.
- Maintain FMECAs and RBDs.
- Provide RAM inputs and support to program meetings such as Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).
- Work cross‑functionally with Sustainment, Site, and other Life Cycle Engineering teams.
- Support the proposal process by developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM work.
- Track Earned Value (EV) and provide accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM scope.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant experience in reliability, failure analysis, and/or quality engineering.
- Experience with Reliability and FRACAS Engineering concepts, including reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, and operational availability.
- Electrical engineering background or degree is preferred.
- Project leadership or management experience, familiarity with Earned Value concepts.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical material to various audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
- U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Relocation assistance is available.
