Principal System Integration & Test Engineer – Onsite, U.S. Citizenship required
OverviewRaytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks a motivated and experienced Principal System Integration & Test Engineer to support radar capability development. The role involves working with cutting‑edge radar technology in a laboratory environment, focusing on Linux systems and troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and document system integration and test activities for radar programs in lab environments.
- Hands‑on testing and integration of hardware and software on Linux‑based operating systems.
- Diagnose and resolve system‑level issues involving software, hardware, and OS under senior guidance.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in line with program requirements.
- Support system‑level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post‑test analysis.
- Ensure safety protocols, quality standards, and program processes are followed.
- Will travel domestically up to 5% of time.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Shell scripting, Linux/Unix operating environments.
- Experience in hardware or software testing within an engineering lab setting.
- Knowledge of networking principles.
- Familiarity with test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with X‑Band radar systems.
- Knowledge of electronic hardware configuration, installation, software on hardware devices, network configuration, operations in String/HWIL facility.
- Understanding of RF systems, radar signal processing, real‑time systems.
- Practical knowledge of system security concepts and tools in Linux environments.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
