The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is looking for a Scrum Master (SM) for the Maverick Agile Team. This role is based in Woburn, MA and supports the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department, specializing in concept development, architectural design, requirements generation, systems analysis, modeling & simulation, integration, testing, and evaluation of missile defense and sensor systems.
WhatYou Will Do
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand‑ups).
- Manage and verify the product backlog.
- Track Agile metrics and identify/resolve impediments.
- Analyze performance data and automate workflows using MATLAB.
- Oversee key team activities, including:
- Threat evaluation and system performance assessments.
- Mission planning, radar input creation, and test event support.
- Mentor team members, remove roadblocks, and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
- Support proposal efforts and manage team financial planning.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting technical efforts.
- Experience overseeing and/or monitoring technical cost and schedule performance.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.
- Prior experience with the AN/TPY‑2 System and/or Missile Defense programs.
- Understanding of radar systems technology (radar design, analysis) and systems engineering development.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Experience with Mission Planning activities.
- Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staff planning.
- Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI‑compliant Gate Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
- Agile Scrum methodologies and related practices.
- Experience with current missile defense programs and large, complex systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering, Math, Physics, or Business.
- Salary Range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD.
