Systems Engineer I

Raytheon (RTX) is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to support X-Band Radar technology within the Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department.

• Support integration and test planning/execution, including verification/validation events and regression testing.
• Perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
• Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
• Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules.
• Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
• Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness).
• Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and ensure compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
• Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel, including domestic and foreign military sales products.

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
• Experience with Systems Engineering.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, and/or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts, and maintaining configuration control documentation.
• Understanding of agile and Dev Sec Ops  processes.
• Individual integration skills, knowledge of radar and signal processing concepts, modeling and determining radar performance.
• Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, RF electronic hardware configuration and installation (preferred).
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Linux (Red Hat), Unix, and Shell scripting for performing integration, verification, test, and data analysis.
