CNC Process Engineer Overview

You will use advanced CNC technology to solve complex machining challenges and help move critical products from concept through production. The CNC Process Engineer will develop machining processes, create CNC programs, support quoting, and improve new and existing production methods.
CNCProcess Engineer Responsibilities
- Create and troubleshoot CNC programs for up to five‑axis milling, Swiss, and mill‑turn equipment.
- Develop tooling, work holding, machining sequences, and secondary operations.
- Review drawings, models, specifications, and production requirements.
- Improve manufacturing processes for quality, safety, efficiency, yield, and cost.
- Estimate production times, labor needs, tooling, and related costs.
- Provide technical support for prototypes, engineering changes, customer questions, and sales proposals.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Associate degree with five years of relevant experience or 10 years of CNC programming and process‑engineering experience acceptable.
- Experience with Mastercam, Part Maker, Solid Works, or comparable software required.
- Knowledge of metrology, statistical process control, process capability, blueprints, and machining mathematics expected.
- Strong problem‑solving, project‑management, and communication skills demonstrated.
