Overview

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) Long Range Radars department is seeking a Reliability Engineer II. This onsite role in Woburn, MA focuses on Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) and Failure Reporting Analysis, Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Engineering.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct RAM analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictions.
  • Perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analyses.
  • Generate Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and system models.
  • Define and allocate RAM requirements.
  • Review field failure data and assess performance using calculations such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF), and Operational Availability (Ao).
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and ensure performance compliance to requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining FMECAs and RBDs.
  • Provide RAM input and support to program meetings such as Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).
  • Work cross-functionally with Sustainment, Site, and other Life Cycle Engineering teams.
  • Support the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM work.
  • Track Earned Value (EV) and provide accurate status on schedule and budget for the RAM scope.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Failure Analysis, Reliability, and/or FRACAS Engineering concepts.
  • Preferred experience with Reliability Engineering concepts including reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, Ao.
  • Electrical Engineering experience or degree preferred.
  • Task leadership or project management experience, familiar with concepts such as Earned Value.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to present technical material to audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
Benefits

Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD (estimates).
