Validation Specialist

Job Title

Perform instrument installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, calibrations, and upgrades at customer sites. Execute and document equipment qualifications including IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and operational instrument issues. Provide technical support via phone, email, and onsite customer visits. Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, quality, sales, and customer success. Document service activities, maintenance records, and customer interactions. Support implementation of quality system requirements and report quality-related issues.

Train customers on instrument operation and best practices. Assist with customer site readiness and validation efforts.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Bioengineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 3 years of equipment support and validation 5-6+ years of supporting equipment validation experience. Experience supporting scientific instrumentation. Experience performing IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities. Experience with Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) or Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) platforms. Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or regulated laboratory environments. Basic wet-lab laboratory skills.

Intermediate Level

This is a Permanent position based out of Woburn, MA.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
