Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Hardware Tech Lead to support radar capability development. This is your opportunity to work with cutting-edge radar technology, leveraging your expertise in Linux operating systems, hands-on experience with system hardware and software in test lab environments, and exceptional troubleshooting skills to solve complex technical challenges.

What You Will DoAssist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.

Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.

Mentor and guide junior engineers with troubleshooting and hardware integration activities.

Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems.

Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges including, hardware/HWIL deliveries and material coordination.

Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.

Support system-level test readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test analysis.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and program-specific processes.

Willingness to support 10% domestic and international travel.

Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Experience with Red Hat Linux.

Experience with configuring hardware setups, installing software, troubleshooting hardware/software/electronics (standalone and networked), and/or interfacing with network routers/switches/firewalls within an engineering facility.

Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
