Company Overview
A dynamic real estate investment platform is seeking a highly analytical FP&A & Asset Management Associate / Analyst to enhance financial performance at both asset and portfolio levels. This role bridges financial planning, asset management, and capital decision-making with direct exposure to senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities- Own asset-level budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting, including variance analysis versus actuals
- Build and maintain forward-looking cash flow models at the asset and portfolio level
- Analyze sources and uses of cash, including operating cash flow, capital expenditures, reserves, and distributions
- Monitor key operating and financial metrics; identify risks, trends, and value-creation opportunities
- Prepare asset-level and portfolio-level reporting for internal leadership and capital partners
- Review monthly property management reporting, budgets, and forecasts for accuracy and insight
- Partner closely with Asset Managers to drill into performance drivers and problem areas
- Serve as a financial liaison between Asset Management and external accounting/property management teams
- Analyze loan structures, debt service, covenants, reserves, and compliance requirements
- Review and evaluate debt and equity term sheets, including pricing and return implications
- Support acquisitions, refinancings, and dispositions through underwriting support and financial analysis
- Assist with capital planning and financing strategy at both the asset and portfolio level
- Support financial oversight of development and value‑add/repositioning projects
- Review construction draw requests, reconcile spend versus budget, and flag variances
- Track key transactions and project milestones, timelines, and deliverables
- Support the preparation and maintenance of the annual corporate budget
- Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives
- Support light invoice review, coding, and approval workflows where necessary
- 2+ years of real estate experience
- Underwriting experience
- Advanced Excel with financial models
- Experience using Argus software is a big plus
Salary: $85,000 – $120,000
