Job Summary

Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups while maintaining a fast‑paced, multi‑task oriented clinical environment. This is a 36‑hour weekly position, consisting of three 12‑hour overnight shifts.

What

You Will Do
  • Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
  • Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
  • Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
  • Perform scans in accordance with the center’s protocol.
  • Administer intravenous contrast.
  • Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
  • Record patient data in Tech Data Entry program.
  • Provide and issue films or CDs when appropriate.
  • Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
  • Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
  • Clean and re‑supply equipment and rooms as needed.
  • Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
What You Need
  • Prior MRI scanning experience.
  • MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and strong interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
