About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide high-quality respiratory care to our residents. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess residents, administer treatments, monitor respiratory conditions, and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities
  • Assess residents' respiratory conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.

  • Administer oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and other prescribed respiratory services.

  • Provide tracheostomy care and support residents with complex respiratory needs.

  • Monitor residents' progress and promptly report changes to the appropriate clinical team members.

  • Maintain, inspect, and properly operate respiratory equipment.

  • Educate residents, families, and staff regarding respiratory treatments and equipment.

  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Follow all federal, state, facility, and infection-control policies and procedures.

  • Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Promote safe, compassionate, and resident-centered respiratory care.

Qualifications
  • Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license.

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.

  • Current CRT or RRT credential required.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital settings preferred.

  • Experience with tracheostomy care and respiratory equipment preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
