Job Description As a Cyber Security Architect Engineer II at Honeywell, you will serve as the Honeywell Security Professional in charge of supporting our core infrastructure and 200+ operational Windows/Linux workstations and testing appliances.
You will report directly to our Information Systems Security Manager and work out of our Woburn, MA location on an onsite work schedule.
Responsibilities- Update internal processes to increase Information Security Team efficiencies.
- Document current and future Linux, Cisco, and Microsoft network architecture and coordinate networking issues affecting production efforts.
- Develop and update robust cybersecurity policies that keep our systems secure.
- Support operational requirements, including troubleshooting and triage of customer IT tickets.
- Administer implementation of security measures to ensure compliance with government authorization requirements.
- Maintain and administer our network using tools such as Trellix, Splunk, Veritas Backup Exec, and Nessus.
- Monitor and troubleshoot our closed Windows Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) network environment.
- Review and audit event logs, create system backups, monitor system performance, and maintain system security and overall compliance.
- Oversee Hypervisor servers running under VMware and Windows Hyper‑V.
- Use STIG Viewer and SCAP to create OS/SW baselines.
- Use Power Shell scripting to accomplish and automate tasks.
- High School Diploma.
- Three years of relevant experience in administering DoD/USG information systems, including systems regulated by 32 C.F.R. Part 117 or the NISPOM/DoD Branch Equivalent.
- Current or active DoD Security Clearance (minimum Secret) at the time of hire.
- Minimum of IAT II Certification (CompTIA Security+).
- Ability to multi‑task, pay close attention to detail, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Highly organized and self‑motivated with excellent documentation skills.
- Effective communication with customers and team members at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as STEM.
- Demonstrated Windows administrative experience with a solid understanding of Power Shell and Windows automation functions.
- Background in patching, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and event log management.
- Experience implementing and configuring Trellix/McAfee, Tenable Nessus, Power Strux, and Splunk.
- Experience implementing and configuring multiple VMware or Windows Hyper‑V virtualized servers.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco Catalyst switches.
- Experience configuring and maintaining Triplite and APC Uninterruptible Power Supply systems.
- Robust network troubleshooting experience.
- IAT III Certification.
- CompTIA – CySA+, CASP+.
- ISC²’s – CISSP.
- ISACA – CISA, CRISC, CISM.
