Senior Windows System Administrator – LADS Program & Infrastructure, Woburn, MA (Onsite)
OverviewProvide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technology environment, troubleshooting moderate to high scope problems, installing and configuring software, maintaining security compliance, and providing documentation and training. The position requires a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and US citizenship.
Responsibilities- Administer and support Windows 11 and Windows Server operating systems including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication.
- Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope, including hardware and operating system integration.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Work with cybersecurity professionals to enforce security requirements.
- Document procedures and provide advanced training to users.
- Assist in patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.
- Support operating system imaging and automated software deployment processes.
- University degree or equivalent experience with at least two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience administering Windows 11 and Windows Server OSs.
- Active, transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).
- Ability to obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within six months of start date.
- Experience as a technical SME or primary contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.
- Experience with Linux (RHEL 7–10).
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management).
- Experience with system hardening, STIG/EVAL STIG implementation, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with Power Shell scripting.
- Experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise Windows services (Active Directory, Group Policy, identity integration).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.
- Prior experience supporting DoD, defense, or highly regulated environments.
Competitive salary range of USD 68,900 – 131,100. Potential eligibility for short‑term and long‑term incentive compensation programs subject to business and performance criteria.
