Principal Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer
Location:

Digital Products Configuration Management (DPCM), formerly known as Software Configuration Management (SWCM).
Role Type:
Onsite. Security Clearance:
DoD Secret (interim clearance required prior to start date). U.S. citizenship required. The position is located on‑site at the RTX Facility in Woburn, MA.
- Perform builds and releases of digital products manually and/or through certified pipelines.
- Facilitate the Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs).
- Maintain, control, and administer the Digital Products Development Library (DDL) (formerly Software Digital Library).
- Maintain control, traceability, consistency, and security of all configuration items across the digital development lifecycle.
- Perform and maintain configuration planning & identification, change management & version control, status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Manage digital product development/media libraries.
- Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning.
- Provide DPCM tool administration / management control/access to CM relevant tools/applications (e.g. Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server, Git, Gitlab, Github, Jira, Bit Bucket, Confluence).
- Administer/manage/use tools such as Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, Git Lab CI/CD, Bamboo.
- Coordinate secure data transfers and provide courier support among various environments, ensuring proper handling and compliance with RTX policies.
- Lead coordination of various digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership to ensure on‑time delivery and configuration management execution in digital development environments.
- BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with version control and change management / agile planning tools.
- Experience with DPCM/Dev Sec Ops technology, IT, and/or development/scripting.
- Automation shell scripting in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance (Day
1).
- Basic knowledge in Digital Product / Software Configuration Management principles, processes, and implementation/execution.
- Experience with DP/SW CM tools (Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and/or Artifactory).
- Experience building software / digital products.
- Experience with scripting/programming languages (Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, YAML).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Git Flow, and Agile concepts.
