Senior System Administrator - Woburn, MA

Position type:
Full time, 100% onsite (U.S. Citizen required).

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic locations.

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience administrating and supporting Windows
  11 and Windows Server OSs.
• Must be able to obtain transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
• Must obtain DoDD
  8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
• Must have an interim DoD clearance to establish a start date.

• Experience serving as a technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL7,8,9,10).
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management, and host upgrades.
• Experience with securing system configurations, hardening, STIG/EVAL implementation, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
• Experience with Power Shell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.
• Prior experience supporting DoD, defense, or highly regulated environments.
