Sr. Linux System Administrator- sponsor clearance

Position Overview

Linux Systems Administrator – Onsite, Woburn, MA. Full‑time, requires U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance. Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date. Full‑time 100% onsite. Start date will be set upon obtaining interim clearance.

• Provide Linux system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including integrating hardware and operating systems.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
• Support 24x7 operations and occasionally work beyond standard hours.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a mixed Windows and Red Hat environment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
• Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).

• Current and active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
• Experience with data RAID, backup, NAS, SAN technologies.
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, or DoD/RMF.
• Knowledge of data storage solutions.
• Experience with information technology project lifecycle management.
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX, or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulation, and hardware development.
• High Performance Computing experience in Linux.
• Linux Ansible/scripting experience.

• Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
