Sr. Linux System Administrator- sponsor clearance

Job Summary

Position:
Linux Systems Administrator in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment at RTX, located in Woburn, MA. Requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. Full‑time onsite (100%).

• Provide Linux system administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat environment.
• Troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Install and configure software applications for end users.
• Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours.

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a heterogeneous environment.
• Must obtain DoDD
  8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within six months of start date.

• Current active U.S. government Secret clearance.
• Experience with data RAID, backup, NAS, SAN technologies.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, DoD/RMF.
• Experience with data storage, NAS, SAN and IT project lifecycle management.
• Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX or other virtualization.
• Support for engineers in software, simulations, hardware development.
• High‑Performance Computing (HPC) experience in Linux.
• Ansible/scripting experience.
